What Can I Do If I Think Someone I Know Is Being Abused?

A lot of people who are being abused by their boyfriend or girlfriend don’t know what to do or who to go to for help. If you think someone you know is being abused, it’s best to reach out to them to let them know you are worried about them and to offer your help. Before you do, it’s a good idea to learn as much as you can about dating abuse and what help is available. That way, you’ll be prepared if your friend or loved one needs you to help them get safe. Always encourage your friend or loved one to talk to a professional, like an advocate, school counselor, or teacher, if they are being abused.
